What Neat Labs LLC collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

Neat Labs LLC ("we") operates circuitacademy.lk. This explains what we collect, why, and your rights. It should be read with our Terms of Service.
What we collect
You give us: name, email, password (hashed — we never see it), billing and shipping address, phone (optional), support messages, reviews and course feedback.
Automatically: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring site, and cookies.
From your use of purchased content: download logs (which files, when, from which IP and device); video playback logs; active session records (to enforce our two-device limit); and course progress.
From payment: Shopify processes payments and shares the order, amount, and billing details with us. We never receive or store your full card number.
Watermarking — please read
Files you download are watermarked with your name, email address and order number. PDFs carry it in the page footer; ZIP archives include a LICENSE.txt naming you. Videos display your name, email and order number during playback.
This identifies the licensee and deters redistribution. It means a copy of your file or a recording of your screen can be traced back to your account.

Who we share it with
Service providers only, never sold: Shopify (payments), Supabase / Lovable Cloud (hosting and database), Bunny.net (video delivery), Mailgun via Lovable (transactional email), Google Analytics (usage analytics), carriers for physical shipments, and authorities where legally required.
Retention
- Account and order records: 7 years (accounting/tax).
- Download and playback logs: 12 months.
- Session records: 90 days after expiry.
- Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Support tickets: 3 years.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, Sri Lanka's PDPA), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing; and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Contact info@circuitacademy.lk. We respond within 30 days. Note: we may keep records needed for tax, and cannot delete data that would break the integrity of an issued certificate.
Cookies
Essential cookies (login, cart) are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent where required. You can manage preferences via our cookie banner or your browser.
International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including the USA and EU. We rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Not intended for under-16s. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post updates here and notify you of material changes by email.
