What exactly do I receive when I buy a design?

A ZIP containing the native CAD project, RS-274X Gerbers, Excellon 2 drill files, a full BOM with LCSC and Mouser links, a pick-and-place file and a PDF design note covering the stackup and test results.

Which CAD tools can open the source files?

Accepted Answer

Every product page lists its tool compatibility — typically KiCad 7+, Altium Designer or EasyEDA. Gerbers and drill files are tool-neutral, so you can always fabricate a board even without the native CAD tool.

Do I get future revisions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Purchases include lifetime access to every future revision and errata for that design, at no extra cost. New revisions appear automatically in your dashboard downloads.

Can my PCB manufacturer fabricate these boards?

Accepted Answer

Every fab-ready product lists full manufacturing specifications, including minimum track, clearance, drill and annular ring, plus a plain-language capability note. Almost all designs sit inside standard capability at JLCPCB, PCBWay and similar fabs.

Are the designs suitable for automated assembly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Boards include fiducials where needed, and each package ships a pick-and-place (CPL) file plus a BOM formatted for common assembly services.

Have the boards actually been built?

Accepted Answer

Each design marked as verified has been fabricated and bench-tested. The product page shows the verification date and photographs of the assembled board under test.

Can I use the designs in a commercial product?

Accepted Answer

Yes, under the Commercial or Extended licence tier. Redistribution or resale of the source files is only permitted under the Extended tier, as part of a larger product. See the Licensing page for the full terms.

How do I prove my licence to a client or manufacturer?

Accepted Answer

Every purchase issues a licence key, listed under Dashboard → Licences. Anyone can confirm it is genuine at circuitacademy.lk/verify — the check shows only the product, the tier and the issue date, never your personal details.

Can my whole team use one licence?

Accepted Answer

A Personal or Commercial licence covers one engineer. For team-wide use, choose the Extended tier or contact us for a site licence.

Are the courses in Sinhala or English?

Accepted Answer

We publish English-medium, Sinhala-medium and bilingual courses. Every course card and detail page states its medium of instruction.

Do courses include a certificate?

Accepted Answer

Courses marked with a Certificate badge issue one once you complete every lesson. Your progress is tracked automatically in the dashboard.

How many devices can I watch on?

Accepted Answer

Two active devices at a time. Signing in on a third device asks you to release one of the others, which protects your account and our instructors' work.

What is the refund policy?

Digital downloads can be refunded within 14 days if the files are faulty or materially differ from the description. See the Refund Policy for details.

Can I get an invoice for my company?

Yes. Open Dashboard → Orders, choose an order and use Print invoice. The invoice is issued by Neat Labs LLC and includes the registered address.

Which currency are prices in?

All prices are shown in US dollars (USD). International cards are accepted and converted by your bank at checkout.

I'm not receiving the sign-in email.

Accepted Answer

Check your spam and promotions folders first, then wait about 30 seconds before requesting another link — rapid repeat requests are rejected before an email is sent.

Why does Circuit Academy ask for my full name?

Accepted Answer

Course videos and downloadable files carry a personal watermark so leaked copies can be traced. Without a full name on your profile the watermark falls back to a generic label.

How do I sign out everywhere?

Accepted Answer

Dashboard → Profile has a Sign out of all devices control. It revokes every active session, including the one you are using.
